Yes, Vinylot will not print anything until you are completely satisfied with the design and have approved the design and color proof. We know color and consistency matter to your brand and will work with you to ensure that your vehicle matches your vision.

4. Do I have to wash my vehicle before wrap installation?

Yes. Vehicles must be free of dust, mud, wax, oil, protective-type products and other agents that may prevent the vinyl from adhering to the vehicle surface during the installation of wraps and graphics. If the vehicle is not cleaned prior to wrap installation drop-off, extra fee may be charged.

5. Can you wrap a vehicle with peeling paint, scratches, dents or rust?

Vinylot can wrap over small scratches and small dents, but keep in mind wrapping over scratches or dents will not hind them. You will still see the silhouette of the scratches and dents through the wrap. It is not recommended to wrap over rust or peeling paint, the rust will eat through the Wrap and the Peeling Paint will cause the Wrap to crack and damage the Wrap. It is Also Recommended to install the wrap to paint with a clean high gloss coating.

6. Can I wash my Vehicle after Wrap is Installed?

It is best to wait at least 2 weeks after your wrap has been installed to wash your vehicle. It is important to remember dirt left on your wrap or even the paint of your vehicle can damage your vehicle wrap or paint if left on for extended period of time. That is why we recommend to Wash your Vehicle at least once a month or whenever the vehicle appears to be dirty. Please keep in mind, we highly recommend NOT Pressure Washing the vehicle after installation of the vinyl wrap. Pressure washers can potentially lift up the vinyl because of improper use of the water pressure. It is also recommended to HAND WASH your Vehicle – DO NOT take your WRAPPED Vehicle through a Car Wash! The Car Wash can damage your Wrap. Hand washing with non-abrasive detergent and a clean soft sponge or cloth is the preferred way to keep your vehicle wrap clean. Be sure to dry immediately after with a soft towel or silicone squeegee to reduce soap spots.

7. Is there a WARRANTY with my Wrap Install?

Vinylot only uses TOP PRODUCT Materials for all our Wraps. We mainly work with 3M Products- Most Manufacture offers a Pro Rated Warranty up to 4 years – and Vinylot offers a 1 Year Warranty on the Labor Install. It is important to note that there is NO WARRANTY on Horizontal Services (Example: Roof, Hood, any service that is horizontal due to the exposure to the UV of the Sun Rays and the Heat of the Engine) Warranty is VOIDED on Repainted or Vehicles over 5 years old. Please Note that on the Horizontal Services such as the Hood this might need to be replaced with in a couple of years of install because of the damage the Heat of the Engine and Sun UV has caused to the Vinyl. Vinylot will not be Held Responsible for Peeling or Damage paint from Removal or Install of your Wrap. There is NO WARRANTY on Wrapping Plastic or Rubber Areas on a Vehicle, vinyl will peal up from these Areas, it is recommended not to wrap these Areas. Please protect your wrap with regular hand washing. Surface Dirt left on Wrap Areas will damage your Wrap if left on for extended time. REMOVEABILITY is based on Vertical Services NOT Horizontal. If the Paint has a powder or matte finish this will effect the removal of the vinyl and will VOID the REMOVABILITY of the Wrap.

8. How do you remove the Wrap?

Don’t remove a vehicle wrap in direct sunlight, in too cold of weather, or in other conditions that may adversely affect the removal process. By Heating the Vinyl with a heat gun or propane torch will help to release the adhesive from the vehicle. Hold the heat gun or propane torch apx 6-8 inches away from the wrap. Heat the vinyl by going back and forth for apx 5-10 seconds. Heat up and area of no larger than 1 square foot at a time. Be careful not to burn the vinyl while heating up the wrap! After heating the Wrap you can start peeling a corner or edge of the material, then slowly peel the graphic away. Make sure when pulling the vinyl that you maintain less than a 90-degree angle so that the vinyl doesn’t tear or break apart. If the decal becomes difficult to pull, stop an heat the vinyl again using a heat gun or propane torch. Be sure to keep consistent pressure, angle and speed while removing the graphic.
